The Company

Founded in 2003, Mysidian Moments Photography was founded in Ypsilanti, Michigan- and moved to Beverly Hills, California in 2006. The company came after from working several increasingly larger projects pro bono, and realizing that the hobby should also be the business. It also came out to California as the opportunities abounded in the Sunshine State.

What do we want? We want to take the best pictures of your special day, of you and of yours! Its as simple as that! We pride ourselves on giving each client a personal touch that they will see in every photograph.

The Photographer

The chief photographer and founder of Mysidian Moments, Jeremy, has been taking pictures for more than 30 years. Starting at a young age, he has honed his skills mostly through real-life experience while gaining necessary techniques from classes and self-teaching. Early highlights include:

Jeremy has spent much of his life with a camera in his hand, and always has one close by. He catches the sublime, the silly, and the beautiful- the world is his canvas! Jeremy is passionate about photography, speaking of "crystallizing moments of time"; as such, he makes time for photography, whether its of nature, the architecture around him, an up-and-coming model, or his kitten Mizu. He has a gift for getting subject to relax and get into the moment, which shines through in the finished product. And even though Mysidian Moments prides itself in post-processing excellence, getting the perfect shot first is always priority. His gift most of note, though, is how he finds the extraordinary in the ordinary, finding the memorable in every moment!

When I view your website, there are they blue boxes around a lot of your pictures; how do I fix this?
It means you have an older browser, likely Internet Explorer 6; it's best to update your internet browser to Mozilla Firefox 21.0+, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0+, and/or Apple Safari 2.0.4.

Do you use film or digital camera?
I am using a digital camera now. I held off until I found a good digital camera series that had the benefits of digital with the quality of film photography. I still have my film SLR camera and use it primarily for black and white photography.
Many of the pictures on my site were scanned photographs that were taken with film cameras.

How long have you been a photographer?
I've been taking pictures since I was Six years old. It started as something that I enjoyed on family vacations, and grew quite a bit over the years. By high school, I considered myself a photographer. (The yearbooks certainly agreed.) I have taken a select photography courses over the years. Currently, I have had more than 25 years behind a camera.

Are you willing to travel?
Yes. My included travel included the Los Angeles metro area. Outside that area, travel expenses, (including airfare, lodging, et al), will be covered by the client.

Am I able to get more copies of the photographs?
Yes. I keep all my negatives, (digital and film), so reprints or upscaling the work to a museum quality piece.

Can I purchase prints or museum quality prints from the photographs shown on your website or other non-private pieces?
Photographs that are non-private can indeed be purchased here. Some of the photographs on the site, however, are not available, (they are able to be displayed here, but are still not considered non-private); please contact me with the specific photograph or photographs you are interested in.
